The world’s insight network accepting applications from nonprofits and social enterprises in all issue areas and all regions of the world

Applications from organizations providing humanitarian relief in Ukraine and beyond are sought.

New York, New York; March 25, 2022 – GLG, the world’s insight network, today launched the ninth year of its pioneering GLG Social Impact Fellowship, announcing the opening of applications for its 2022 class of Social Impact Fellows. Applications will be accepted today through May 19, 2022. (The application is available here.)

GLG is the world’s insight network, connecting decision makers to the right experts so they can act with the confidence that comes from true clarity and have what it takes to get ahead. GLG’s network of experts is the world’s largest and most varied source of first-hand expertise, with thousands of new experts recruited every week.

GLG Social Impact is the company’s award-winning initiative that supports nonprofits, social enterprises, foundations, and philanthropies to help solve the world’s most urgent challenges. The annual Social Impact Fellowship, its flagship program, provides select nonprofits and social enterprises with a two-year pro bono partnership with GLG, including access to the full suite of GLG product offerings and the support of hands-on GLG client service teams.

The 2022 Fellowship is open to organizations working across all issue areas anywhere in the world, including but not limited to education, environment, global health, and social justice. This year, it is also focused on supporting organizations providing humanitarian relief and support to people experiencing displacement in Ukraine and beyond.

“As we’ve consistently seen in our Social Impact work, a single conversation with a GLG expert brings with it the opportunity to transform thousands of lives,” said GLG CEO Paul Todd. “We can provide something few others can: the right expertise at precisely the right moment – and we believe deeply in our obligation to get insight to those who need it most.”

The GLG Social Impact Fellowship, launched in 2014, now counts 75 leaders in its global community of social innovators, whose organizations address a wide range of social and environmental issues and reach tens of millions of people annually around the world.

A recent independent, third-party impact assessment completed this year confirmed that the Fellowship significantly helps organizations and leaders achieve goals, accelerate impact, build capacity, and develop professionally. “GLG’s Social Impact Fellowship allows us to help create long-term, sustained impact in numerous issues, and also to help organizations respond to urgent challenges,” said GLG Vice President and Head of Social Impact Jen Field. “We look forward to welcoming our ninth class of Fellows and partnering with them to expand and strengthen their work.”

“GLG has helped increase our team’s knowledge and capacity to achieve big, ambitious goals,” said 2021 Fellow Swapna Reddy, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project, a U.S.-based nonprofit that provides services, resources, and advocacy programs to help asylum seekers build good lives in the U.S. “It’s a unique opportunity to tap into top expertise on pressing topics for our organization, including data protection, cybersecurity, talent management, and fundraising.”

“It’s been terrific to participate in the GLG Social Impact Fellowship,” said 2021 Fellow Dr. Mona Mourshed, Founder and Global CEO of Generation: You Employed, a global nonprofit that trains and places people who are unemployed or underemployed into new careers, focusing on adult learners of all ages. “GLG has been an invaluable resource as we train and place adult learners in new careers – from learning about marketing strategies, data analytics, and other focus areas, to conducting diligence on expanding our programming into new professions and industries.”

“The GLG Social Impact Fellowship has helped us sustainably scale CLEAR Global and help people around the world get information and be heard – no matter what language they speak,” said 2021 Fellow Aimee Ansari, CEO of CLEAR Global, a global nonprofit that helps international aid organizations communicate more effectively by developing language and communications technology and providing language services in more than 200 marginalized languages. “Through GLG, our leadership team is exploring key questions around technology, pricing, and internal operations that accompany our organization’s rapid growth.”

The application process for the Fellowship is highly competitive, with selection criteria based on organization mission and model, existing impact, future goals, operational capacity, and need for the expertise that GLG offers. Applicants must be the Founder, Executive Director, President, or CEO of a nonprofit or social enterprise with an innovative model creating demonstrable social change. However, all team members at Fellow organizations have pro bono access to GLG. Access full selection criteria here.

The application is available online here. Applications will be accepted until May 19, 2022, and the 2022 Fellows will be announced in the fall.
