GLG Named 2021 Global Good Awards Finalist for COVID-19 Response
June 09, 2021
This year’s seventh annual Global Good Awards shortlisted GLG as a finalist in its COVID-19 response category. The awards honor purpose-driven organizations that are “making strides towards a better world for people, the planet, and the global economy.” The COVID-19 response category considered large-scale organizations based on innovation, scale, and overall impact of their relief efforts.
In 2020, GLG mobilized its substantial resources to support organizations working on the frontlines of COVID-19. We provided pro bono support to more than 135 organizations in over 40 countries, which collectively reach more than 100M people. GLG’s services helped nonprofit and government organizations protect temperature-sensitive vaccine supply chains, manufacture and distribute PPE, conduct contact tracing in countries with less-developed health systems, and more. GLG also helped the business community safely and smartly navigate the pandemic by hosting more than 3,000 virtual expert events on practically every topic.
Other finalists include Aviva, Barclays, Investec, NatWest Group and National Emergencies Trust, Santander UK, and Unilever.
Winners will be announced in the fall. To learn more about the awards, selection criteria, and for a complete list of other finalists click here.
