New York, NY; February 7, 2017 – ACA Compliance Group and GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc.) announced today that they have entered into an exclusive partnership to provide mutual clients with the option to retain ACA’s third-party monitoring service for expert consultations arranged by GLG. Through this service, ACA Compliance Group (“ACA”), a leading provider of regulatory compliance and technology products, assists compliance and legal teams by chaperoning designated research consultations, documenting possible inconsistencies with policies, and providing a report of findings or issues to escalate following the consultation. The service is part of ACA’s off-site compliance support solutions and is provided by ACA’s Analysis and Review Center, a dedicated knowledge center of regulatory compliance professionals.

GLG, the world’s leading membership for one-to-one professional learning, has long enabled compliance professionals to track and chaperone interactions with outside experts. A client can elect alerts or approval requirements based on a variety of criteria embedded into the GLG workflow. GLG clients can now easily arrange for designated GLG consultations to be chaperoned by an ACA professional through an online portal or on a mobile device. GLG’s reporting tools enable clients to track their chaperoning along with their research activity, and ACA’s call summaries give compliance professionals an efficient way to demonstrate proactive oversight.

“The expertise delivered by GLG Network Members can be indispensable to the investment decision-making process, but as I know from experience, Chief Compliance Officers must allocate resources to oversee these interactions,” says Alan Halfenger, Partner at ACA Compliance Group. Joshua Broaded, Partner at ACA Compliance Group and head of ACA’s Analysis and Review Center adds, “ACA chaperones offer an efficient and cost-effective solution that makes it easier for CCOs to say ‘yes’ to this important research tool.”

“Our clients often cite rigorous compliance as an essential component of conducting primary research and monitoring has become a more common tool for compliance teams,” said GLG General Counsel and Managing Director Laurence Herman. “We are proud to continue our commitment to compliance by partnering with ACA. The partnership vastly streamlines access to chaperoning services, both for GLG clients who already work with ACA as well as potential new users.”
