The Account Manager role will include both Account Management as well as strategic administrative support responsibilities.
Within Account Management, this individual will be responsible for maintaining key client relationships within their book of business (consulting/advertising/market research sectors) in the US, regularly presenting GLG’s platform to prospects and clients to increase awareness of GLG’s offerings, generating new client leads, using GLG’s CRM to track and map client accounts, and working in collaboration with the project delivery teams (including Client Solutions and Research) to drive adoption and usage of GLG’s services. This individual will also have partial responsibility for strategic support of the rest of the PSF business, including lead generation, ad-hoc data support, data hygiene, and billing/invoicing support.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Engage key constituents at clients to articulate GLG's brand and tailor our value proposition to those clients
- "Map" client organizations to identify potential new buyers/users of GLG's services and promoters within
- Prospect new GLG users
- Qualify inbound prospective clients, pitch GLG entry level subscriptions
- Design and execute renewal strategies, process renewals
- Develop product and service marketing campaigns to engage clients and encourage usage
- Work with the BD Ops lead and Sales team on ad-hoc requests for data support, lead gen, data clean-up, and billing/invoicing support
Key performance metrics for this position include client revenue, number of active users of GLG’s services at client firms, and client renewal rate.
As an Account Manager, you will report to Senior Manager – Sales Enablement and will work closely with your BD Ops Lead, as well client service professionals and other members of the sales team.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (required) and MBA will be preferred
- 4-6 years of demonstrated success selling information services and solutions or account management experience
- Experience selling to professionals is a plus
- Experience managing client relationships in the US is a plus
- Ability to build strong and lasting relationships with key decision makers in client firms
- Ability to work well independently and be self-motivated
- Strong passion for persuasion, especially around complicated and intellectually challenging issues
- Excellent English verbal communication skills and ability to confidently articulate the value of our network, professional services, and client-facing software systems to clients
- A demonstrated ability to read and understand people
