To address the client challenge, Strategic Projects engaged an experienced biotech venture investor and several prominent KOLs.
Project leader conducted 10 interviews with international KOLs over the course a week to gather insights on unmet needs in these conditions, attractiveness of the programs, and red flags for development hurdles, and synthesize findings with a go/no-go recommendation.
Two of the programs had significant risks associated with development, safety and likely utilization. KOLs were also aware of, and excited about, competing development programs for two indications.
Client leadership was able to quickly pass on the opportunity without conducting an expensive deep diligence, and instead continue to focus on scouting efforts.
