Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) is seeking a VP, Sales professional to oversee the development and growth of the business, developing and maintaining effective existing relationships with a desired outcome to build revenue and ‘footprint’ in the Australian marketplace. 

GLG VP Sales in our client-facing offices are responsible for:

Growing GLG existing client relationships. Developing relationships with GLG clients, who are primarily deal leads and deal execution client professionals who rely on GLG for Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) support. This relationship development will stem from in-person client meetings, and telephone interactions. Sales Vice Presidents develop deep relationships with key contact points at clients, and identify suitable opportunities for cross-selling, upgrades and other revenue opportunities from the GLG suite of product offerings.

Identifying and bringing on new clients in Australia via a strategic selling lens. Key will be a proven ability to plan and prioritize personal sales and account management activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including sales and revenue growth - especially managing personal time and productivity. The primary function will be to plan and reach annual account management revenue growth targets. 

Developing organized marketing activities. Plan and hold formal client facing optimization meetings, as well as one on one client meetings with a view to maintaining and growing the GLG book of business.

Team-wide collaboration will be key, via effective engagement with office wide peers and specifically collaboration with the Client Service team. Working closely with other Business Development colleagues and sector-specialized Client Service Managers to deepen existing client relationships and identify new revenue opportunities.

Enhancing the GLG brand in Australia. Developing relationships across the industry in Australia, and acting as a mature, personable face of GLG in Australia.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a Top tier undergraduate institution
  • Must have 5-8 year proven sales or account management experience in Australia
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial / leadership skills, with clear focus on Sales, revenue growth and business profit
  • Outstanding communication skills and a team player
  • Experience interacting with senior executives
