Manager - Network Development (Onboarding Experts)

Network Development Manager

Our Network Development team is focused on servicing the world’s leading financial investment firms, professional services firms, and corporations with GLG’s expert Network Members on a variety of topics across the globe, every day. Network Development Associates explain to industry professionals what it means to work with GLG and recruit them into GLG’s professional membership network, the GLG Councils – a base of more than 900,000 experts. These experts (Network Members) include business leaders, academics, and foremost subject matter specialists that share their insight to help our clients make better-informed business decisions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive overall performance of team (8+ Network Development Associates) to meet or exceed collective performance goals.
  • Project allocation and load balancing to ensure all client requests are delivered.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, and effectively receive and provide feedback – across the structure.
  • Engage in the professional development of team members and execute strategies to retain top talent.
  • Conduct interviews for new hires and demonstrate strong judgment in the candidate profiles selected for roles on the team.
  • Prepare and review performance data to monitor and measure the team's productivity, goal achievement and overall effectiveness.
  • Interface and partner with Client Solutions team, locally and globally, to drive continuous improvement in quality and speed. Collaborating with EMEA teams to drive best practices.
  • Guide team decision-making around compliance matters.

 An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree from a top-tier university
  • 2+ years of high performance as a people manager in inside sales, recruiting, or phone-based environment
  • Outstanding communication and interaction skills, including demonstrated oral, written and presentation abilities in a business-focused setting using a variety of communication channels (telephone, e-mail, in-person, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with, motivate and lead a sales/development/recruiting team
  • Demonstrated commitment and attention to detail, ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented focus with a passion for coaching and driving team toward meeting and exceeding targets
  • Strong collaborator and effective in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excel in a fast-paced, metrics-driven, entrepreneurial, and challenging environment
  • General knowledge of European culture, awareness of European business practices
  • Additional European (German/Spanish/French/Italian)language skills would be beneficial, but are not required

Shift Timing

This is a shift-based role and a 9-hour shift will be assigned between 10:30am IST to 1130pm IST (9-hour shift covering EMEA region – 6:00am to 6:00pm GMT).

Training and onboarding

Network Development Managers will spend some time during their onboarding period learning the  Network Development Associate role to enable successful delivery of the key responsibilities of the role.
