Gerson Lehrman Group has 70,000 leading experts based in Asia-Pacific

Hong Kong; December 3, 2015 — GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group Inc.), the world’s leading platform for professional learning, this month marked 10 years of doing business in China. The company opened its first offices in China in Hong Kong and Shanghai in 2005. Since then, GLG has expanded its Asia-Pacific presence to ten offices, including Singapore, Gurgaon, Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul, Mumbai, Shenzhen, and Sydney.

“Ten years of growing GLG in Asia demonstrates the global demand for peer-to-peer professional learning,” said Matthew Creedon, who leads GLG Asia. “We’re proud of our unmatched range of engagement, including connecting Asian business leaders to macroeconomic thinkers in Washington, introducing global business leaders to top local economic advisers, and facilitating on-the-ground meetings and tours throughout the region.”

GLG can connect clients around the world to its membership of more than 425,000 former C-suite executives, academics, scientists, policy specialists, former public sector leaders, and other top professionals. Some 70,000 of those experts are based in Asia. GLG today employs 235 professionals across the region (nearly a quarter of its global workforce) and serves more than 300 clients based here.

Victoria Zhong, General Manager of GLG Beijing, added, “Our decade of growth in China and around the world allows us to combine our global reach with deep local expertise. Last year we grew our footprint here with a new office in Shenzhen, reflecting South China’s growing prominence in international markets. Our extensive presence here makes GLG an essential resource for leading professionals as they increase investment and engagement in the global economy.”

GLG continues to invest in the Asia-Pacific region, and China in particular. In addition to the new Shenzhen office, GLG’s Shanghai team recently upgraded its office and moved to a central location in Huangpu District. The new office integrates technology to emphasize collaboration and flexibility in the workplace.
