Leading professional learning company recommits to London and to Europe: “We believe strongly that London will endure as a global business center.”

London, England; 18 July 2016 — GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc.), the world’s leading professional learning platform, announced today that it will expand its presence in London and move its UK headquarters to One Fitzroy Place in Fitzrovia on August 1.

GLG is the world’s leading professional learning platform, connecting thousands of clients to its membership of 425,000 experts, around the world and across fields. London hosts the company’s largest European office and headquarters for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. (Photographs of the building are available at GLG.it/news.)

“Our mission is to transform the way the world’s top professionals share expertise and learn, and our new London office will help facilitate our planned rapid expansion here and across the region,” said GLG President and CEO Alexander Saint-Amand. “Recent events underscore the business need for timely, interactive, and intensive knowledge, learning, and expertise. We’re confident our team here will continue to meet that need. And we believe strongly that London will endure as a global business center.”

One Fitzroy Place is part of a new mixed-use development of four buildings in Fitzrovia. GLG will sublease a full floor from the building’s anchor tenant. The building’s innovative and flexible style aligns with GLG’s global program of progressive office design in service of its learning mission.

“More and more business executives, investors, and consultants rely on GLG for their biggest decisions and most complicated challenges, and this new office will support our continued growth here,” said Paul Ciraolo, who leads GLG’s EMEA business and London office. “GLG is continuing to invest in our outstanding team in London and throughout this vital region, where tumultuous times demand transformative peer-to-peer learning.”

Harry Hughes, Senior Vice President on GLG’s EMEA operations team, added: “Our clients value GLG’s scale and specificity equally. Our localized footprint and global reach combine to offer unmatched client service around the world. The investment in this office demonstrates GLG’s commitment to being a great place to work in the UK and Europe.”

GLG London will join the company’s New York, Austin, Washington, and Boston offices in using activity-based working, which eschews assigned personal workspaces for a more flexible and productive approach to work life. Employees may choose to work in multiple types of private meeting and collaboration spaces, café nooks, standing tables, and phone booths.

GLG’s global headquarters in New York City is among the largest North American implementations of activity-based working. The office has been featured in the Wall Street JournalBloomberg BusinessweekInterior Design, and Fast Company, among other publications.
